Places worth remembering
Some places ask to be painted. The famous bridge at Gibbs Gardens, an homage to Giverny that grows on Georgia soil. The shoreline of Lake Lanier on a still afternoon. Lavender rows, poppy fields, Idaho farmland under a big western sky, and the corner of Augusta National where prayers are said out loud. Summer paints the places her collectors already love, which is why so many of these leave the studio quickly.
Seascapes live here too, for the walls that need a horizon and a deep breath.
